Gram's 90th

90 years...
That is how many years Gram has seen. We celebrated her 90th birthday (actual birthday is January 27th) today with a wonderful lunch on the water at Captains in Salem, Massachusetts. The weather was sunny with a whole lot of snow on the ground! I'm pretty sure the temperature was no more than 20 degrees.
How wonderul it was for her to have her family with her on such a special day. After we had finished eating, Gram said a little something to the family. I find it so amazing that she can recall all of her past....all of it! She told us that in the past 90 years, she has seen so much change. When her mother had her, she was driven to the hospital in a horse and carriage. She went to a one room school house in the country that had one teacher for grades 1-8. Gram said that when she was growing up, everyone left their keys in the ignition of their cars. How things have changed!
Gram is an amazing woman. She is a wonderful mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. I am so extremely thankful to have her in my life. (Definitely one of the plus' of marrying Justin!)
